Castle Kennedy Gardens are a part of Stair Estates and are located in the Southwest corner of Scotland. The gardens are laid out dramatically on an isthmus between the remains of the original castle and its nineteeth-century replacement, and have a rich history of horticultural development.  Join head gardener, Chief John Alexander McArthur of that ILK, as he shows us this beautiful Scottish garden.  Included with garden admission or membership. 

Green Chile is an essential ingredient in many Southwestern recipes. Roasting the peppers first gives them an intoxicating aroma, a mouth-watering flavor, and makes the peeling process easier! Marty and Jeremy Johnson from Johnson’s Garden Centers will present this program for all of the “Chile-heads” in Wichita.  Included with garden admission or membership.

Wichita has made recreational use of its rivers since it was founded in 1871. Jim Mason’s book, “Wichita Riverside Parks,” illustrates that history. Join Jim as he presents highlights from his new book. Copies of the book will be available for purchase and can be signed by the author following the presentation..
