The Sally Stone Sensory Garden was designed to encourage and facilitate sensory botanical experiences. With more than 76 pockets at varying heights in the living herb wall, visitors of all abilities can interact with nature and enjoy the colors, feel the textures and smell the fragrances of a wide variety of ornamental edibles and herbs. Raised gardening beds and container gardens at the wall’s higher level allow special populations to participate in the joy of gardening with special tools modified to make gardening more simple. All visitors will enjoy the beauty, fragrance and texture of the annual, perennial and woody herbal plants in the garden.
